Steps of Gluconeogenesis

The steps are mainly the reversal of glycolysis, except
for the three irriversible kinases which are bypassed or
replaced by the following enzymes

GLYCOLYSIS GLUCONEOGENESIS
Glucokinase
Phosphofructokinase1 Glucose -6- Phosphatase
Pyruvate kinase
Fructose 1,6 bisphosphatase

Pyruvate carboxylase
and

Phosphoenol pyruvate carboxykinase
