Gravimetric Analysis
In gravimetric analysis the species to be
determined reacts with a specific
reagent to result in a product of limited
solubility (as insoluble ppt isolated from
the other constituents of the sample by
filtration). After suitable treatment, the
solid residue of known chemical
composition is weighed.
