where food is served to everyone without any discrimination. His ideas
made the caste system unnecessary. He emphasized the equality of women.
His message of One God, equality of all human beings, truthful living, and
the Three Golden Rules of Kirat Karo, Vand Chhako, Naam Japo are as
relevant today as they were 550 years ago. He taught us that we should not
believe in any useless rituals. Rather we should love and care for fellow
human beings and live a life of truthfulness. Sikhs are very fortunate to
have inherited the life shown to us by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. We should try to
live by it every day.
