Our 1 Guru Sahib: Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the First Guru of the Sikhs.
He was born in 1469. He was born at Rai Bhoe Di
Talwandi. Now that place is called Nankana Sahib in
Paskistan. His father was Mehta Kalyan Das Ji. His
mother was Mata Tripta Ji. His sister was Bebe Nanaki
Ji.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji was a messenger of God. He said
many amazing words.
1. He told the world, there is only one God, one God
created everyone, so all people are equal.
2. Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave us Three Golden Rules to live
our lives. They are Naam Japo, Kirat Karo, and Vand
Chhako.
