Grammar Point 2: Plural Rules: There are many rules for changing singular words into plurals. You
will need to memorize these rules.
Rule Singular Plural
Rule 1: The masculine words that end in a ‘Kanna’, lose the muMfw muMfy
‘Kanna’ and get a ‘Laanv’ to make plural. AwauNdw AwauNdy

Rule 2: Many feminine (girl) words usually end in a Bihaari. We kuVI kuVIAW
add an Aida and a Kanna with a Bindi to make plural.
Rule 3: Some feminine nouns end in a Mukta (no Matra). We add l~q l~qW
a Kanna and Bindi to make plurals.
Rule 4: The masculine words that end in ieAw lose the ‘the qwieAw qwey

Sihaari, the Aida and the Kanna’ and get a ‘Laanv’ on the eedi

Rule 5: The masculine words that start with a sihaari and end
in an Aida and a Kanna’, lose the ‘the Sihaari, the Aida Kanna’ igAw gey

and get an eedi with a ‘Laanv’ igAw= igAw=gey
Rule 6: When feminine nouns end in a Kanna or Kanna+Bindi, we gW gWvW

add vava+Kanna+Bindi to make plurals.
