Those of us who believe in our Gurus and many holy men before them
believe that Waheguru created the universe. Many scientists also believe
that. But there is a school of scientists that believe that all this has been
made possible by evolution over a long a period of time. These scientists
however cannot explain how the universe got created out of nothing. Sikh
religion does not deny the evolution, but we believe that hand of Waheguru
was behind the creation of universe in the first place and then the laws
(Hukam) ordained by Waheguru allowed it to evolve.
Can we test this saying of our Gurus? Yes. Guru Nanak Dev Ji gives us that
guarantee. He wrote,
kIqw loVIAY kMmu su hir pih AwKIAY]
kwrij dyie svwir siqgur scu swKIAY]
Whatever work you wish to accomplish-tell it to Waheguru.
He will resolve your affairs; the True Guru gives His Guarantee of Truth.
Many of us have experienced the power of Ardas. If we have done
something truthfully or need to get something done without harming anyone
and pray for its success from our heart to Waheguru with full faith in
Waheguru, it gets fulfilled. This tells us that Waheguru is real and not just
a man- made concept.
