         MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of the Red Door Housing Society is to provide and manage quality affordable housing to per-
         sons in need.

Is this Mission Statement still relevant? Does it still reflect the purpose of the Society? Discussion included
         the following:

What does “affordable” mean? It is a vague term, and for some members of the public “affordable” has
gained a negative connotation. BC Housing and CMHC define it as housing costs that do not exceed
                30% of a household’s income.

Is “persons in need” too broad? Too narrow?

                                                                                              RDHS Directors Manual 20
