1.9 DIRECTORS
A director is a person appointed by a company to act in the management of the company. A company will
normally have several directors who will act together as a Board of Directors. A director stands in the same
position as a trustee with respect to the company. A public company must have at east two directors, a
private company at least one. The directors are employees of the company.
