There were so many stars here, so many more than
in the city. They were all here, etched into the
blackboard of midnight; Orion, The Twins; Cancer; The
Great Square; the two Dippers; even the Dolphin. It had
been so long since she'd seen them all together like this.
She was surprised that she remembered where to find
them. Then, losing herself in the moment, she reached
out a hand to touch them, and indeed, felt as though
              she had.

This trip was a time of immense healing for her.
Back home, much of her life was in turmoil. So many
problems needed solving, yet the solutions seemed far
out of reach. Enigmatic puzzles encompassing the
experiences of a lifetime. She felt frustrated, alone, and
powerless. She had no idea which direction to go or
what to do. She was beginning to feel apathetic and
exhausted, completely submerged in a sea of conflict,
drowning because she could not remember how to
              swim.

Karyn called Jacob late one evening, working
hard to explain her dilemma, yet failing desperately in
her attempt. Finally, hearing her poorly masked cry for
help, Jacob invited her to the mountains for a weekend
of healing and renewal. The very next day, Karyn
boarded a plane to this wonderfully secluded place,
and to him. Both had become a great sanctuary in her
life. The earth was pure and untouched here. Society
hadn't intruded upon its simplicity nor tarnished its golden
fields and green forests with the scars of concrete and
glass high-rise giants sprawling about the landscape.
Here, the chrome and steel alligators of urban highways
wouldn't snatch her up, swimming aimlessly through a
