Karyn buried her head in his chest, sobbed, and
shook, finally letting go of all the burdens she'd carried in
her heart for so long. Jacob softly whispered words of
comfort and encouragement. He held her tightly to him,
making her feel safer than she ever felt in her life.

That is how she slept the rest of that night and well
into the morning. Jacob never left her side. Each time
Karyn stirred, he moved a protective arm about her,
drawing her close to him once again, silently reassuring
her that she had nothing to fear. It was the greatest gift
anyone could have ever given her. Peace…
