                 •  Automated and semi-automated devices for bacterial identification ID and AST
                     have significantly improved laboratory efficiency

                 •  These instruments, using optical systems for measuring changes

                      -   determine bacterial growth and antimicrobial susceptibility


                      -  can produce results in a shorter time (6–12 h) than conventional manual
                         assessment
