high school diploma or GED. Escondido Adult School is here to help achieve

You may be wondering why attaining a high school diploma or GED is so
important. The reasons are endless! Not only do many jobs require these San Diego
credentials, but the chances of a landing a job dramatically increase when Woman
community members have a diploma or GED. They may also have the
opportunity to earn more money than they would without them. Just think,
when a community member obtains a diploma or GED, their family or friends
have someone to look up to. Become a great example for the community 45
by getting a diploma or GED. Also, while community college and/or state
college seem like an impossible goal, they aren’t! Getting a diploma or GED
is taking the journey to higher education one step further. So just remember,
high school diploma or GED equals more job opportunities, better pay, a
valuable contribution to the community and a chance at higher education.
With the cooperation and generosity of the City of Escondido and the North
County Transit Department, the Adult School is continuously reaching out
to the community to engage potential students of the educational services
available to them. You can find advertisements placed in 60 operating buses
throughout Escondido. Escondido Adult School has also utilized social me-
dia to keep their potential and current students in the know. Escondido Adult
School constantly updates their Social Media with any important events,
dates and upcoming classes. Their goal is to spread the word and educate
the community!
Escondido Adult School provides classes for both high school completion
and GED preparation Monday through Thursday from 8:30AM until 9:00PM
and on Fridays from 8:00AM to 12:00PM. The classes function on an open-
entry/open-exit basis; meaning students can enroll at any time. Instruction
is individualized and self-paced, allowing students to work as quickly as
possible or to take additional time as needed. Think of it as a customizable
diploma/GED program made just for the students! Escondido Adult School
also offers a basic skills program which includes English Language Arts and
Mathematics if students don’t feel ready to start the high school diploma
program yet. Escondido Adult School is here to help and accommodate dif-
ferent learning levels and skills.
Counseling staff can advise potential and current students how to complete
their high school diploma or to prepare for the five tests of the GED. The
