wound to seal it off. Monitor the nail over the next few days to make sure it

               doesn’t get infected.

               Bathing

You only need to bath your guinea pig if you think it has mites or if it is very
dirty and soiled. Guinea pigs can find the process extremely stressful.

You need to use a special shampoo for small pets and a small bowl on a non-

slip surface. Use warm water and be careful not to burn your guinea pig while
               washing or drying him.

Wet your guinea pig and lather a small amount of shampoo on your guinea pig,

starting at the bottom and moving towards the head. Don’t get your guinea
pigs head wet. You don’t have to wash his face. Focus on cleaning the body.

Towel dry your guinea pig gently. Then you can use a hairdryer on its lowest
heat setting to dry the guinea pig. Hold the hairdryer about 30cm away from

its fur, so you don’t burn him. Hold onto your little guinea pig gently but firmly
because he’ll most probably be terrified. The sound might scare your little cavy
               too.
