               3.2.1 Progress Reports

Engineering progress reports document the ongoing status, accomplishments, and upcoming

tasks of a project, ranging from informal, one-page memos to formal, detailed documents. They
keep stakeholders informed about schedule adherence, budget, and issues. Common formats

include emails/memos for internal updates, formal documents for clients, and oral presentations.

Progress reports are periodic documents prepared during the execution of a project. Their main

purpose is to track project progress and compare completed tasks with the planned schedule.

               These reports typically include:

                   • Work completed during the previous period.

                   • Current ongoing activities.

                   • Challenges or problems encountered by the team.

                   • Planned future tasks.

               3.2.2 Feasibility Reports

Feasibility reports are prepared before starting a project to evaluate whether the project can be

successfully implemented. These reports help organizations decide whether to proceed with the
project or not. Feasibility studies usually examine several aspects, including:

                   • Technical feasibility: Whether the project can be implemented with available technology.

                   • Economic feasibility: Whether the project cost is justified by the expected benefits.

                   • Time feasibility: Whether the project can be completed within the required time.
