10-K Report
Annual report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by United States and
Canadian companies trading on US stock exchanges. The 10-K contains detailed
descriptions of the business, major properties, financial data; brief descriptions of the
competition, distribution, crucial commodities, and legal proceedings; and supplemental
financial statements and legal documents.
10-Q Report
The 10-Q is a quarterly report filed by companies to update their 10-K.

Account
Accounts are classified into one of six categories: asset, liability, ownership/stockholders’
equity, revenue, expense, or statistical.
Accounted Balance
A converted balance; when a transaction is entered in nonfunctional currency, Oracle
automatically converts that balance to the functional currency.
Accounting Flexfield Structure
The specific account structure defined to fit Biogen’s specific needs. This structure includes
nine segments, as well as the length, name, and order of each segment within the structure.
Accounting Flexfield/Code Combination
The code (string of segment values) that make up the general ledger account code.
