Summary
The PC(s) have ventured to the Nakatashi District
for the purpose of joining the ranks of the Nakatashi
students. They have traveled a long way and are
asleep in the Inn when suddenly the area falls under
attack. In a fight for their life, this may be a chance
to prove themselves worthy of training with this elite
family.
PART 1 “Fire Drill”
Location: Takashiro District
TOWNSMAN
FIRE! WE’RE UNDER ATTACK!
A loud cry rings out as the PC(s) eyes snap open.
The room they are in is brightly lit by the glow of a
large house fire. Heat bellows into the room of the
inn the PC(s) have found rest in. The Nakatashi Dis- Behind her are her twin sons, Tagaki and Gataki Na-
trict East’s northern most inn (Location: East; L12) is
on fire. Thick black smoke fills the top portion of the
room make it extremely hard to breathe and see.
GM NOTE: The PC(s) must exit the burning room.
Apply the rules for “Heavy Smoke” and
“Suffocation” (Ninja vs. Samurai RPG GM Manual
page 31). A look out of the 2nd floor window will re-
veal several buildings, including the inn they are oc-

echoes through the streets as citizens scramble to
save what they can.
Now in the hallway, the PC(s) must navigate their
way out of the burning building.
GM NOTE: Use the following map of the inn, pages
12-13, to guide the PC(s) out of the burning building.
Adhere to the rules of burns found on page 65-66 in
the Ninja vs. Samurai RPG Player’s Manual.
PART 2 “Swept Up”
Location: Takashiro District
The PC(s) have exited the burning building, and
now outside, are met with a scene of total chaos.
Across the street, an elderly woman weeps at the
sight of her burning husband who has been crushed
by the collapse of their home while trying to escape.
A small child cries alone in the middle of the street.
Several men and women run frantically through the
street. Many are bloodied, dirty or covered in soot
and ash.
An Unusually sounding, loud, piercing screams is
heard over the travesty. It comes from a home across
the main road. It grabs the PC(s) attention. The
home’s door is smashed open. An attractive, young
woman tries to run out, but trips over the threshold
and falls on her front. She is frozen in fear and looks
back over her shoulder. Five men ooze out of her
house brandishing weapons and perverted sneers.
They approach the woman slowly until an arrow flies
through the air striking one in the neck pinning him
to the doorsill His friends, frozen in confusion,
watching him gurgle on his own blood until he dies.
The PC(s) look back to see Mei Nakatashi heroi-
cally holding her bow, and preparing her next shot.
katashi. The rest of the men quickly scurry away.
MEI NAKATASHI
After them! Quickly! Catch them, and I will reward
you for your assistance!
Mei Nakatashi darts off in another direction.
GM NOTE: The PC(s) should chase the raiders.
