Jahleel Island
Coordinates: 33.805 S; 25.705 E
Description: It is a small, rocky inshore island that is close
to Coega Harbour, making it susceptible to disturbance and
oil spills.
Conservation status: It falls within GAENP and has
restricted access.
Species breeding: African Penguin, Cape Cormorant,
White-breasted Cormorant, Kelp Gull, Roseate Tern.
Numbers breeding:
The maximum numbers (pairs) of seabirds breeding
annually at Jahleel Island, 1956–2022.
