Description: A low-lying island formed of raised shingle 1957
deposit that is connected to Seal Island in the west by a 1977 50 2
reef (Rand 1963). It is possible to use the reef to wade be- 1978 113
tween the two islands at low tide. Stag Island has an area 1979
of c. 0.1 ha and sparse vegetation. 1981
Conservation status: It falls within GAENP and has re- 1983
stricted access.
