Officer Reports
The Magnolia Neighborhood of Seattle
When I started actively practicing law in Seattle and defending police officers beginning in 1982 it was always my aspiration to do work
for the City of Seattle. Christie Law Group has done just that over the last decade. I have had the privilege of representing our city in litigation, from State Superior Court to U.S. District Court and from the State Court of Appeals to the Ninth Circuit. Our firm also regularly represents the hard-working men and women of the Seattle Police Department.
So with this backdrop, we look forward to you staying with us in our home town that we have lived in, worked for, and loved for over

of my Mom, brothers, and me was taken at the World’s Fair. And for a bit more personal trivia, I had the privilege of representing the Space Needle in a significant case that landed in our Supreme Court, who issued a landmark decision in our favor that is still cited regularly for its holding. During discovery in that case I even got to stand on the top of the Space Needle where its iconic antenna is located. The distance between where I am standing in this photo and the top of the Space Needle is actually further than it looks, if you know what I mean.
Seattle has transformed over the decades from a one industry town— Boeing—into a technology, tourism, and transportation giant. We do
it all here, and most of it outdoors. Boating and rowing, kayaking and
SUP, hiking and biking—Seattle
is truly our resort and the Pacific Northwest our playground. See you on July 25th in the place the Christie family calls home. It may be your first trip to Seattle, but it will not likely be your last. And while it will end with the conclusion of my year as President, I can think of no better place on earth for my swan song.
See you in Seattle!
