The Federation
of Defense & Corporate Counsel was formed in 1936. Under the leadership of our first President, David F. Lee of Norwich,
and continue as defense leaders. The Federation did more than just survive. The Federation thrived in the remote environment.
If we fail to adapt, we fail to move forward.
- John Wooden
The devotion of our members to the Federation and each other has been inspiring, but we must continue our leadership with energy, creativity and vision. We must dare to be different.
Federation members should celebrate that which we have accomplished together in the last few years. Our Amicus Committee has taken their engagement
to a new level. The Committee worked on public policy issues and advocated with like-minded organizations to advocate for our members’ interests. We are thrilled with the value and visibility the Committee brought to us
New York, our founders created an organization which required that members must be “over and above” their peers. For 86 years our members have maintained that standard. The quality of our members and the unparalleled collegiality which we share has allowed the Federation to endure and even flourish in the most challenging of times.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
- Martin Luther King Jr.
While the pandemic hit the reset button on our lives, firms, companies and the Federation, our members found new ways to communicate, stay connected
