Thank you to FDCC Past-President
Craig Marvinney and Past-First
Lady Paula McQueen, Program
Chair Tiffany and Steve Alexander,
Bernie and Martha Heinze
and Kimberly Cavender (our
Convention Team); FDCC Annual
Meeting Sponsors Profile Discovery,
American Jury Centers, Avalon
Health Economics, Exponent,
Relevant Data, Rimkus, JS Held,
InQuis, Rust Consulting, S-E-A,
and YA Engineering Services; our
Speakers; all Excursion Hosts; New
Members Hosts; and our Canadian
Delegation. The Toronto Annual
Meeting would not have been a
success without the support of so
many.
This Convention Team ran like a
well-oiled machine and managed
the meeting with precision.
Everyone gave their A-game and
throughout the planning process
willed a successful meeting that
was purist (back to basics) FDCC.
Putting Tiffany and I on the
same team for this meeting was
brilliant. Working with someone
who was like-minded made the
planning process smooth, efficient,
enjoyable, and, proved successful.
I also want to recognize Bernie,
Martha, Kim, and Marty, who made
Tiffany’s and my work so much
easier during the planning and
execution stages. Also, Martha's
last minute surprise brought a
second Rembrandt charm tour for
members and spouses and resulted
in Rembrandt’s exhibiting at the
meeting and offering members a
formidable sale.
Marty Bair and FDCC Past President
Steve Farrar get a special shout
out for working with me on many
iterations of the Toronto budget
going into the 2023 Annual Meeting
and set the stage for a successful
financial finish to the 2024 Annual
Meeting. The exchange rate and
foresight of leadership to buy
Canadian Dollars in advance of the
2024 meeting positively impacted
our financial finish and allowed us
more flexibility in our excursion and
programming spend. Together, we
made an urban, “outside the United
States” meeting memorable for all
our members and their families.
Mission Accomplished!
Our Canadian delegation
proved critical to the planning
stages, gathering by Zoom, at
the Convention Team’s request,
multiple times prior to the 2023
Annual Meeting, so we could
craft teaser videos and other
promotional pieces more than a
year before our Toronto meeting.
They were giving of their time, and
provided countless restaurant,
excursion, and other helpful
