FOLDABLE / DETACHABLE BILL
HOW IS IT CRUCIAL?
The foldable bill will be one of my major pieces to my design differing my cap to the current cap design. The foldable bill will have to
Effectively fold into a small compact pocket sized rectangle which can also be able to be opened and turned into the cap easily for more accessibility. I will also need to test the strength of the clip that i will be using to hold the bill and the cap together, it will have to be extremely durable so that it can maintain its shape within the environment of the beach and be able to still be able to hold its purpose of protection within the sun.
UV SOLAR METER
HOW IS IT CRUCIAL?
The UV solar meter will be a huge part to my design so that patrollers and nippers can maintain and understand how much protection is needed to keep their skin protected from the sun. To do this i will need to effectively place the UV meter into the hat to make it as accurate as possible.
QUICK DRY MATERIAL
HOW IS IT CRUCIAL?
The material for my cap will have to be a quick dry, durable, flexible material This will increase the effectiveness of my cap and will increase the performance of my cap.
HOW AND WHO?
I will create prototypes to the functionality and durability of the foldable bill, I will also take my parents opinions to help improve my design and what I will need to critique my design.

I will need to prototype the implementation of the meter to find the best place to identify the UV rays, I will use the help of my teachers for this and will test it con- stantly on different days to see its full efficiency.
