The two day event, spon- sored by the Bristol Sustainability Committee, produced 30 bags of trash, collected by 36 partici- pants. Among those helping out were five students from the New- found Regional High School Honor Society.
Volunteers gathered at Kelley Park in Bristol to sign up and get their trash bags. They chose an area around the downtown, out to Newfound Lake, or in their own neighborhoods, collected trash and returned the bags to Kelly park where the town Highway Department was good enough to provide a truck to haul the trash out to the transfer sta- tion.

Bristol Residents Clean Up Trash
Community
Community residents pitched in to help keep Bristol beautiful on May 14-15th.
The town square, the town beaches, Kelly Park, the new Rail Trail and most of the downtown roadways are now free of trash and ready for spring. In all an estimated 23 miles were covered in the clean up effort.
Many folks thanked the vol- unteers and mentioned that they picked up trash regularly on their street or roadways. This is all part of a continuing effort to keep Bristol looking beautiful. Thanks to everyone who pitched in and
picked up trash!
