Discover What Brings People Together
At Perham Memorial, they found a trivia game at a rummage sale about the local community of Perham. Members of different households meet to play it at least once a month. Of course, there are many types of trivia games about the
U.S. and the different states, as well as books on the various ethnic heritages represented by householders and staff. Tasteful joke books on the ethnic groups represented might be appropriate. For instance, Swedes and Norwegians in Minnesota (most people there are one or the other!) have poked fun at each other for centuries. Or try short stories with a theme from, for example, one of the many “Chicken-Soup-for-the-Soul” books.
