36. Associates may not physically, verbally, emotionally, sexually or psychologically abuse a resident, family member, vendor, visitor, team leader or coworker. Abuse includes misappropriating money or property from a resident or family member.
37. Associates may not neglect patient/resident care duties related to the safety, health, and/or physical comfort of the resident.
38. Associates who observe, suspect, or otherwise have knowledge of resident abuse and/or neglect must immediately report the same to the team leader, a member of management or the Community Leader.
39. Associates may not engage in insubordination, to include but not limited to: refusal by words or actions to comply with a direct order from aateam leader or member of management and/or refusal of a job assignment.
40. Associates may not falsify Company records such as time cards, employment applications, credentials, patient records, etc., or make a statement known to be false intended to influence Company decisions or to gain a benefit or advantage.
41. Associates may not violate the Substance Abuse & Testing policy.
42. Associates may not sleep while on duty.
43. Associates may not steal or attempt to steal and/or be in unauthorized possession of property of the
Company, another Associate, resident, family member, vendor or visitor or other persons doing
business with the Company.
44. Associates may not willfully or attempt to sabotage, abuse, or destroy property belonging to the
Company, Associate, resident, family member, vendor visitor, or other persons doing business with
the Company.
45. Associates may not abandon the job by walking off the shift or leaving the location without the
prior approval of the team leader or if the team leader is not available, another member of management, except when such conduct is protected under applicable labor laws. Such conduct constitutes a voluntary resignation.
46. Associates may not misuse, disclose, divert, or remove from the location sensitive, private, confidential or privileged information concerning the Company, associates, or residents.
47. Associates may not possess, use, or threaten the use of firearms or any other dangerous weapons on location property, including the parking lot, except as otherwise permitted under state law.
48. Associates may not fight, hit, shove, push, forcibly grab, offensively touch, threaten, or provoke such acts; engage in any other disorderly conduct affecting another associate, resident, family member, vendor or visitor; or execute other similar acts while on Company property, on Company time, or at other places and times when the associate is on Company business.
49. Current associates are required to report to the team leader or Community Leader when the associate has been arrested or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor during employment. An associate may be suspended without pay when charged with a felony or misdemeanor that is related to his/her position or is identified on The Piper’s barrier crime list, pending an investigation and the outcome of the arrest. Current associates, who are convicted during their employment of a crime or misdemeanor on The Piper’s barrier crime list or, in the judgment of the Company, render them unfit to continue employment, will be terminated.
50. Associates may not engage in conduct that is improper or inappropriate and that may put the Company’s reputation at risk.
51. Associates may not violate the Company’s anti-harassment or anti-discrimination policies.
52. Associates may not conceal a disease or condition that may endanger fellow associates, residents,
or others on Company premises, unless, protected by federal or state law.
53. Associates may not engage in conduct that is in violation of federal or state law.
54. Associates must fully cooperate with a company-initiated investigation and may not make false
accusations or statements in connection with a Company investigation.
Associates may not violate any conduct or location work rule of a similar nature not otherwise listed herein.
