BIO

Dr. Jonathan T. Pettis

Dr. Jonathan Pettis is the Finance Director at Pendleton Place, Inc., a residential foster care supportive
community service for at-risk families, safe family visitation, and comprehensive assessments for children and
families in Greenville, SC. He is responsible for managing all aspects of office administration which includes
finance, human resources and facilities operations.

Prior to joining Pendleton Place in 2017, Dr. Pettis worked for over 20 years in Aliquippa, Pa. at The Franklin
Center of Beaver County where he began his career there in facilities management then promoted to Director of
Operations. He was appointed to serve as the organization’s Executive Director in 2005. While under his
leadership the organization earned the designation “Small Non-Profit Organization of the Year” by the Beaver
County Chamber of Commerce.

Over the course of his career Dr. Pettis co-founded The Aliquippa Council of Men and Fathers, and he co-
created the Aliquippa Project, a college access program developed in partnership with Central State University
of Ohio that provided educational opportunities for students in the Greater Pittsburgh area.

He received his Doctorate in Executive Leadership (DEL) from University of Charleston, WV where he also
earned his Master of Science (MS) degree in Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in
Business Administration from University of Phoenix.

A recent transplant to Central Florida, Dr. Pettis is expanding on his research into spiritual intelligence and
organizational leadership and endeavors to implement his findings into coursework that can be shared in post-
graduate and organizational teambuilding platforms.

Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, Dr. Pettis now lives with his wife Angela in the Tampa Bay area and
enjoys reading, sports and day-tripping to local beaches.
