INTRODUCTION
Assessment of students performance involves factors such as the intellectual level, skills, and study
habits.
S.1 The program of studies has a system of evaluating student performance through a combination of
the following:
S.1.1. formative test such as quizzes, units test;
Short quizzes (pre-test and post-test) and long quizzes (chapter test) are given to the
students as a part of students performance based on the topics discussed in each subjects. In the

S.1.2. summative tests such as mid-term and final examination;
Major exams are departmentalized. Prelim, midterm and final examinations are scheduled
and given as a part of students performance based on updated syllabi for each subject. In the exhibit is

S.1.3. project and/or term papers;
Projects and/or term papers are parts of students performance and based on course

S.1.4. practicum and performance test; and
Practicum and performance like return demo’s and skills performance are given to the
students as a part of students performance in their related learning experience. In the exhibit is a part

S.1.5. other course requirements.
Other course requirements are case studies, attendance, attitude are part of students performance for

S.2 The summative tests have the following descriptions:
S.2.1. comprehensive enough to test the different levels of cognitive skills and knowledge of
content; and
Summative tests covers the entire field of study that students are exposed during the course

S.2.2. based on a well-designed Table of Specifications (TOS)
Table of specifications ensures that there is a balance items that test lower level thinking
skills and those with higher order thinking skills in the test. Revised Bloom Taxonomy is used in making
