Drive for Chapter reporting
Here Ye, Here Ye, Arizona Compatriots, the year 2021 approaches to a closure!
For those involved with their Chapter Americanism Report, a Google drive location has been set up for each chapter to update their Chapter's Americanism Report.
Please reach out to Jim Hinsey, Palo Verde Secretary, to get access to the Chapter Google drive and Americanism Report. Deadline for the Americanism Report is mid- January 2022.
George Washington Endowment Fellow
Arizona Chairman of the GWEF Col. David Thompson USAF (Ret.) sends notice of congratulations to Compatriot Michael S. Kaehler, Phoenix SAR Chapter as the newest member of the George Washington Endowment Fund which supports special projects of the SAR.
If you have an interest in the George Washington Endowment Fund, which serves as an umbrella under which gifts are placed. Earnings from the contributions over the years have helped to finance a wide variety of programs and projects. Contact Col. David Thompson if you would like further information regarding the GWEF.
2022 Dues Statements Coming to your email soon
Watch your email for a notice from your Chapter Secretary/Treasurer regarding 2022 Chapter, State and National SAR dues.
State and National SAR dues remain the same and local Chapters determine their dues individually.
Any new members approved by NSSAR from September 1st through the end of 2021 will be considered paid through the end of 2022.
In past years there has been some confusion about when annual dues are due to Arizona SAR and when a member is considered dropped. To clarify this, Article VII, Section 2 of our bylaws states. “Any member of the CHAPTER whose dues have not been received by the CHAPTER on or before December 31st shall cease to be a member in good standing and may be dropped from the rolls. On or before December 15th of each year the CHAPTER Secretary/Treasurer shall give written notice of nonpayment to all such members. The CHAPTER Secretary/Treasurer shall forward a CHAPTER reconciliation report to the SOCIETY Secretary, and a duplicate CHAPTER reconciliation report and payment for all National and Society dues collected from the CHAPTER members to the Society Treasurer to be received by them no later than January 10th of the dues year. All delinquent dues received after January 1st may include late fees.” Translation: If renewal dues are not received by the Chapter from a member by 12/31/2021 they are considered dropped. All funds and Chapter reconciliation must be submitted to the State Secretary no later than January 10th. Anything after that is considered a reinstatement and the reinstatement fees will apply.
