Region: Baltic Region, Jantarny, Russia

These arthropods that range between 2 and 22 mm
(0.079 to 0.9 inches) in size, have eight legs, just li-
ke spiders, but unlike them they possess no ve-
nom or silk glands. Harvestmen live by imitating
spiders. It is clear from the fossil in the picture
than they have never undergone any anatomical

changes over the last 45 million years.
