All eyes are blind, all ears are deaf, it is the soul that
sees and hears
ADNAN OKTAR: ... People imagine they see with two eyes, but it is not the eye
that sees. The eye just serves as a camera, doing the same thing as a still or video ca-
mera. The eye does not see, it is the visual center in the brain that sees. That is the
real eye. The eye in a person has no eye, but it sees. There needs to be an eye there.
But this eye sees the electricity as an image. But there is no eye there. It is this invi-
sible eye that we call the soul. It is the same with sound. Sound waves reach the ear
and pass through the hammer, anvil and stirrup as vibrations. That vibration turns in-
to electrical energy and it comes to the brain. There is an ear in the brain that hears
that electrical current as sound. But that is not an ear of the kind we know. There is
an invisible ear. That invisible ear is the real ear. Everyone’s ears are deaf. The ear is
merely a tool, a mechanism for transmitting sound. It does not hear. Every ear is deaf
and unhearing. The brain inside the ear hears... It is perception. I touch the table, and
it is hard. That sense of perception forms in my brain, but I imagine it is in the table.
That stems from the image being three-dimensional. Information forms in my brain
when I feel it in my fingertips. People imagine they feel it in their fingertips. The phe-
nomenon does not take place in the fingertips, but in the brain. Let us imagine we are
eating a melon. “What a delicious melon this is,” we say. But we perceive that taste in
our brains, not in our mouths. We talk about experiencing a nice taste in our mouths,
or sensations of bitter or sour. But people do not experience tastes in their mouths.
They always experience them in their brains. But they imagine they taste things in
their mouths. Or smell, we never experience the scent of anything in our noses. Peop-
le imagine they smell things with their noses. But that is not so. The nose in the brain
experiences the smell. Those chemical gasses reach the nerve cells in the nose, then
that is converted into electrical energy and goes to the brain. There is a nose in the bra-
in that smells them. There is a nose there that perceives that electricity as smell. No ro-
se or carnation enters the brain, the rose and carnation are on the outside, but the-
re is a soul inside that smells them. Look, it smells the rose in the absence of any
rose. It perceives that electrical current as a rose, or a carnation. People are una-
ware of this today. Maybe one person in a million is aware of it.
