It is Allah Who does all things

ADNAN OKTAR: ... Some people blow their own trumpets, saying “I did this, I made

that.” But Allah shows these things as images in a space the size of a lentil inside the brain.

Those who say “I did it, I made it” are in a space the size of a lentil. Allah creates everyt-
hing. Human beings can do nothing. Of course people say, “I did it,” when talking out of
appearances. But in fact, Allah does everything. For example, you say, “Come here.” Allah

creates your saying that. Allah also creates the words of the person who says he has arri-

ved, and Almighty Allah brings him to you. For example, I put this drink down here, then
I drink it. But Allah creates the whole episode inside my brain. Allah creates its taste and
appearance and smell. He could eliminate the taste altogether, so I would taste nothing. Or

the smell, so I would smell nothing. If He eliminated the entire image, that would be it, and

I would perceive nothing. And if He eliminated the sense of touch, there would just be an
                    empty void left.
Since Allah produces the sensation of touch inside my brain, I imagine this is in my

hand. For example, I am quite convinced I am touching it with my finger now. But I am not.

This stems from a sensation in my brain. The sensation of touch goes to my brain from my
fingertips, the nerve endings carry it along, for a very, very long way, until it enters my bra-
in and gives rise to a sensation of touch inside my center of consciousness.

I say, “I have touched” something. But that is not right. The sense of touch does not

arise here, but in my brain. Yet I imagine it is in my fingertips. For instance, we are sit-
ting here now, aren’t we? We are sure of that, but all the sensations are arising in our bra-
ins. Sound and speech appear to come from a distance, even in three-dimensions, but they

are al created in our brains. Because when

the nerves going to our brains are severed,
we cannot hear anything. But we will hear
the moment they are restored. But people

are reluctant to think about that. I talk abo-

ut it from time to time. In due course, I will
describe it in such a way that everyo-
ne can understand and they will not

                                                                                  avoid the matter any longer.

                                                                                        Interview dated 03 November 2010
