The only Absolute Being is our Lord Almighty, Allah

Throughout his to ry, ma te ri al ists have en thu si as ti cal ly em braced the de cep tion that “Matter is ab -
so lute” in or der to de ny that our Almighty Lord is the Creator and sov er eign of all things. That is why
ex pla na tions re gard ing the es sence of mat ter are so im por tant, be cause this in for ma tion proves the fal-

se ness of this de cep tion which has been main tained for so many years. Understanding that we can ha-
ve di rect ex pe ri ence of on ly a copy of mat ter, and that man is not sim ply a col lec tion of flesh and bo-
ne, en a bles us to grasp the fact that we are al so pos sessed of con scious ness and a soul. It is our Al-
mighty Lord Who cre ates this soul and con scious ness in man, who is in turn a ser vant be long ing to

Allah. Our Almighty Lord, Allah, is there fore the sole Entity with do min ion over the Earth and the
heavens.
This fact will awak en enor mous amaze ment in the face of the might and do min ion of Allah and
the per fec tion in His cre a tion. Allah cre ates the bound less uni verse, with its count less flaw less de tails,

both ma te ri al ly on the out side and al so sep a rate ly in the brain of ev ery hu man be ing. All the de tails
in the uni verse are flaw less ly and con stant ly brought in to be ing as phan toms with in the hu man bra-
in. So per fect and flaw less is this cre a tion of Allah’s that it ap pears ex ceed ing ly re al is tic and con vin -
cing right down to the ti ni est de tails, even though it is ob vi ous that it ac tu al ly con sists of a dream.

There are no flaws or de fects in our Lord’s cre a tion. People who fail to use their rea son ing pow -
ers are tak en in by this flaw less ness and im ag ine that they have di rect ex pe ri ence of mat ter, and nev -
er doubt, even for a sin gle mo ment, that the im a ges they see are il lu so ry.
The soul ob serves all these things. The bil lions of peo ple on Earth ob serve im a ges that are shown

to them at ev ery mo ment. They feel joy, re flect and take de ci sions in the light of these im a ges. But it
is on ly thanks to the soul that they are able to do this.
Our hu man soul is a part of our Lord’s Spir it that He breath es in to us. This makes it clear that He
is the sole ab so lute Entity, the true Lord of ev ery soul. The might and pow er of Allah per vade all

things and all pla ces. All the en ti ties we per ceive and im ag ine to be ma te ri al are ac tu al ly im a ges cre -
at ed by our Lord. And the be ings cre at ed from His Own Spir it observe those im a ges.
In one verse Allah re veals that:

Allah, there is no deity but Him, the Living, the Self-Sustaining. He is not sub ject to drow si ness or sleep.
Everything in the heav ens and the earth be longs to Him. Who can in ter cede with Him ex cept by His per -
mis sion? He knows what is be fore them and what is be hind them but they can not grasp any of His knowl -
edge save what He wills. His Footstool en com pass es the heav ens and the Earth and their pres er va tion does
not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent. (Qur’an, 2:255)
