You know the commandments [of God]: 'Do not murder, do not
commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not
defraud, honor your father and mother.' (Mark, 10:19)

Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is
only One Who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the com-
mandments." "Which ones?" the man inquired. Jesus replied, "'Do
not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false
testimony, honor your father and mother,' and 'love your neighbor
as yourself'." (Matthew, 19:17-19; Mark 10:18-19; Luke 18:18-20)

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self [the
way you were created] with its practices and have put on the new
self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Cre-

              ator. (Colossians, 3:9-10)

[Jesus] For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery,
sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what
make a man 'unclean'... (Matthew, 15:19-20)

He [Jesus] went on:... For from within, out of men's hearts,
come evil thoughts... slander... All these evils come
from inside and make a man 'unclean.' (Mark,
              7:20-23)
