Pleasant Words from the Gospel

To Avoid Magic and the Like

Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their
sexual immorality or their thefts. (Revelations 9:21)

He who overcomes will inherit all this... But the cowardly, the
unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral,

those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their
place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur [hell]. This is
                   the second death. (Revelations 21:7-8)

Outside [outside paradise] are the dogs, those who practice mag-
ic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and
everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Revelations 22:15)

... There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named
Bar-Jesus, who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius
Paulus. The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas
and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God. But Ely-
mas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed
them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith. Then
Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with God's Spirit [faith in
God], looked straight at Elymas and said, "You are a child of

the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full
of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop pervert-
ing the right ways of the Lord? (Acts, 13:6-10)

                        Consumption of Blood is Prohibited

Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from
food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat
