Pleasant Words from the Gospel
He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave gen-
erously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. (Acts, 10:2)
Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try
to persuade people. We ourselves are perfectly known to God. I
hope we are also really known to your consciences. (2 Corinthians,
5:11)
He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give Him glory, because the
hour of His judgment has come. Worship Him Who made the
heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."
(Revelation, 14:7)
The men replied, "... He is a right-
eous and God-fearing man,
who is respected by all the
Jewish people..." (Acts,
