Pleasant Words from the Gospel

Deniers will never believe, not even
if the dead speak:

GOSPEL: He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the
Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises
from the dead.' (Luke, 16:31)

QURAN: Even if We sent down angels to them, and the dead
spoke to them, and We gathered together everything in front
of them right before their eyes, they would still not believe un-
less Allah willed. The truth is that most of them are ignorant.
(Surat al-An'am, 111)

The fate of past peoples being cited

as a warning:

GOSPEL: These things happened to them as examples and
were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfill-
ment of the ages has come. (1 Corinthians, 10:11)

QURAN: In this way We give you news of what has gone be-
fore and We have given you a reminder direct from Us. (Surah
Ta Ha, 99)
