Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them
will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Lord.
(Matthew, 10:29)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and
this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by
works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's master-
piece, created... to do good works, which God prepared in
advance for us to do. (Ephesians, 2:8-10)
Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to
this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and
make money." Why, you do not even know what will hap-
pen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears
for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to
say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
