                     You shall not go up
                     and down as a talebearer
among your people: neither shall you stand against the
                     blood of your neighbor.

You shall surely rebuke your neighbor...
You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the chil-
dren of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as your-
                     self...(Leviticus 19: 15-18)

                     Torah
Do not mistreat an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in
Egypt. Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan. If you do
and they cry out to Me, I will certainly hear their cry. (Exodus
                     22:21-23)

Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of
the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them
from the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 82:3-4)
Is not your wickedness great? Are not your sins endless? You de-
manded security from your brothers for no reason; you stripped
men of their clothing, leaving them naked. You gave no
water to the weary and you withheld food from the hun-
gry. But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; And
the honorable man, he dwelt in it. And you sent
widows away empty-handed and broke the
strength of the fatherless. (Job 22:5-9)
