264 The Glad Tidings of the Messiah (pbuh)

[People of intelligence are] those who are steadfast in
seeking the face of their Lord, perform prayer and give
from the provision We have given them, secretly and
openly, and stave off evil with good, it is they who will
have the Ultimate Abode. (Surat ar-Ra'd, 22)

                      Gospel
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing,
because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
                      (1 Peter 3:9)

... Warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be
patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for
wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
                      (1 Thessalonians 5:14-15)

                      Torah

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is
thirsty, give him water to drink: For you shall heap coals
of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward you.
                      (Proverbs 25: 21-22)

                         TO BE COMPASSIONATE AND

                                     FORGIVING

Those of you possessing affluence and ample wealth
should not make oaths that they will not give to
their relatives, the very poor, and those who have
migrated in the way of Allah. They should rather
pardon and overlook. Would you not love Allah to
