290 The Glad Tidings of the Messiah (pbuh)

So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. You are on
a straight path. (Surat az-Zukhruf, 43)
Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not sep-
arate. Remember Allah's blessing to you... (Surah Al
'Imran, 103)

Gospel

So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on
to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. (2 Thessalonians
2:15)
He [an overseer] must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it
has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine
and refute those who oppose it. (Titus 1:9)

A BELIEVER'S LIFE AND DEATH ARE FOR

ALLAH

Say: "My prayer and my rites, my living and my dying, are
for Allah alone, the Lord of all the worlds." (Surat al-
An'am, 162)
Those who, when disaster strikes them, say: "We be-
long to Allah, and to Him we will return." (Surat
al-Baqara, 156)

Gospel

For none of us lives to himself alone, and
none of us dies to himself
