In the Name of Allah, The All-Merciful and Most Merciful

Blood clotting is not limited to visible wounds, for it al-
so repairs the many tears that happen every day unnoticed by
us in capillary vessels. When we hit a table with our leg,
many capillary vessels are ripped and internal bleeding oc-
curs. However, the clotting system stops this bleeding imme-
diately and repairs the damage from inside. Without this clot-
ting system, all of us would have hemophilia and would, in

the advanced stages of this disease, be unable to stop even a
small wound from bleeding. In other words, we would be in
constant danger of bleeding to death. Every detail of this clot-
ting system is a product of a separate plan and creation; a
demonstration of Allah’s eternal knowledge, intelligence, and
power.

The human body is surrounded by several danger-
ous enemies: bacteria, viruses, and similar microscopic crea-
tures found in the air and water, as well as our food and en-
vironment. But Allah has created for each body a wonderful
protective system. For example, the keratin in the cells locat-
ed on the skin’s outer surface effectively prevents any foreign
elements, such as bacteria and fungus, to penetrate the skin.
In addition, this layer continually sheds and is replaced by
new skin from below. So, any unwanted microorganisms that

seep between the skin layers are removed along with the
dead skin. These enemies can enter the skin only through a
wound.
Viruses can enter the body through the air, but a special
secretion in the nose’s mucus and the lungs’ protective cell-
