WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH
Be exalt ed, O Lord, in Your strength; we will sing and praise
Your might. (Psalms, 21:13)
... They rejoice before You as peo ple rejoice at the har vest, as
men rejoice when divid ing the plun der. (Isaiah, 9:3)
... Levites and priests sang to the Lord every day, accom pa -
nied by the Lord's instru ments of praise. (2 Chronicles, 30:21)
Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name togeth er.
(Psalms, 34:3)
Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their
beds. (Psalms, 149:5)
My ser vants will sing out of the joy of their hearts, but you
will cry out from anguish of heart and wail in bro ken ness of
spir it. (Isaiah, 65:14)
Because you did not serve the Lord your God joy ful ly and
glad ly in the time of pros per i ty, there fore in hun ger and
thirst, in naked ness and dire pov er ty, you will
serve the ene mies the Lord sends against you.
