PORTENTS AND FEATURES OF THE MAHDI'S COMING
Bediuzzaman regard ing the appear ance of the Mahdi
is 2011. There is, of course, no ques tion of such an
impor tant mat ter being kept con cealed and not talk ed
about with so lit tle time remain ing.
Bediuzzaman's words are per fect ly clear. He states
that his trea tis es are works that "every one, from a
labour er to the wis est schol ar, a mid dle school stu dent
to a phi los o pher, can eas i ly under stand." (Kastamonu
Addendum, p. 10, Rays of Light, p. 549) Some extracts
from Bediuzzaman on this sub ject read:
...The Treatise of Light proves this duty, at the most
severe, essen tial and sen si tive time, in a man ner every -
one can under stand, the deep est and most secret truths
of the Qur'an and of faith, with the most pow er ful evi -
dence. (Rays of Light, p. 748)
... The Treatise of Light can be read and under stood by
all lev els of soci e ty, such as a woman, a man, a civil
ser vant and a trades man, a schol ar and a phi los o pher…
(Rays of Light, p. 549)
To sug gest, none the less, that only spe cial peo ple
pos sessed of spe cial secrets and spe cial abil i ties can
under stand the Treatise and to so depart from the evi -
dent mean ing of Bediuzzaman's words is a grave mis -
take. In that event, every one can draw his own erro ne -
ous con clu sions from Bediuzzaman's words. Thus the
trea tis es will become works that reflect, not the true
