Important Prior Notices

 Before the NGTD step: User must have a MyT account before this step (created account is

sufficient, not necessarily activated. Activation required within 6 months after creation).

The dealer should assist the user in installing the app and creating the MyT account.

 Data: NGTD process ONLY updates TME CP backend, no data goes back to NMSC systems

regarding ownership.

 Ownership: Dealers need to verify, by their own judgement, that the requesting user

indeed has the rights to the services.

 Privacy: it is not possible in NGTD to lookup/search existing connected services users for a
VIN.

 Data access: Any existing user-rights on a previous user’s account will be overwritten by
the new user.

 Big benefit: this is an excellent opportunity to get to know the second hand owner/user,

who traditionally is often ‘lost’ as our network has no means to know if a car has been sold

to a next owner.

 Demo opportunity: If a dealer obtains a car, e.g. as part-exchange, the dealer should add it

to the dealership’s portal account (using NGTD process) to assure that the car has been

deleted from previous owner’s account immediately. This also gives the benefit of being

able to demonstrate the services on that car in the sales process of that second-hand car.
