• Ask everyone to turn their phones to silent,
including your own!
• Acknowledgment of funders/sponsors of this
event and to our other Network Partners for
their continued support of Dairy Women’s
Network
• Outline/format of day i.e. when morning/
afternoon tea will be and finish time etc
• Questions & answers – how they want to manage
this?
• Pre-empt those who may monopolise by
explaining ‘rules of engagement’ ie. Please
refrain from talking to your neighbour during the
presentation.
• Introduce presenter and support person/s
Wrapping up an event
Your final words wrapping up an event are the
last chance you have to make an impression on
our members. Take some time during the event
to consider what you will say and which parts of
the event you will mention as your highlights/take
home messages. Be sure to thank the presenter,
the members for attending and anyone else who
helped make the event a success.
