Quick Healthy Cranberry
Sauce
Stephanie Davidian
Cranberry sauce is a traditional thanksgiving staple, but the stuff in the can is overly processed
and full of sugar. Fresh cranberries are full of antioxidants, lower the risk of urinary tract
infection, and help prevent certain types of cancers.
Ingredients Instructions
One bag of fresh cranberries Rinse the cranberries and remove any overly
One half cup organic honey squishy ones. Combine the cranberries, water
One half cup water and honey in a saucepan and bring to a boil
Zest of one medium orange before reducing the heat to a simmer. The
cranberries will eventually “pop”. Continue to
simmer until the thickness is to your liking.
Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon
zest. Taste for tartness, and if it is too tart add a
bit more honey.
The sauce will keep in the fridge up to two
weeks.
