Letters from our Readers

As we started our new series “Reading Labels,” we receive more
questions and comments from our readers. It’s very important to

educate ourselves and become aware of what we put in our body, and
how our food and every-day products impact our health and well-

being. I want to thank you for keeping to research and share your
findings with us. Below are a couple of emails from our readers.

I went to HEB yesterday with a large magnifier glass
and spent an hour at the sunscreens after reading

your article on Benzene. They ALL contained benzene
or a form of it such as benthyl and a couple of more

derivatives.

Then I went to Walgreens. Only one brand did not

have it, but it did have aluminum.

Came home and phoned Hanna’s Herb Shop in
Colorado and they had a sunscreen made from
minerals and I ordered that. See the pic.

I found benzene in my TRESsemme hairspray last

night too. At the risk of belaboring the point I just
found Benzene in my Alba botanical body lotion that
I order especially online because it’s supposed to be all

natural.
