Are avocados good for your brain?
Persea Americana, better known as the
avocado, is an absolute powerhouse
of a fruit. One single avocado fruit
contains (based on daily value): 26%
of vitamin K, 20% of Folate, 17%
of vitamin C, 14% of Potassium,
14% of vitamin B5, 13% of vitamin
B6, 10% of vitamin E, along with
manganese, copper, iron, magnesium,
zinc and vitamins A, B1, B2, and B3.
They also contain high amounts of
monounsaturated fatty acids.
What does this mean? Avocados are
INCREDIBLE for the brain!
Studies show that including one avocado a
day in a healthy diet can increase memory
health and problem solving skills Avocados
have also shown to improve eye health and
overall cognitive function. This is because
of the amount of lutein in one avocado.
Lutein is crucial for eye, blood and brain
health that can act as a anti-inflammatory
agent and, of course, as an antioxidant.
