Donna Shelnut Lee Lives for Family and Photography
Donna Shelnut Lee of Mom- maD Lee Photography graduated from Glencoe High School, in Alabama in 1970 and went on to Gadsden State College, in Gadsden, Alabama. Her par- ents Helen and O’Neal Shelnut, have passed on, had 5 children
with Donna being the oldest,
a sister Renee’ Lacey, broth-
ers, Danny, David and Darrell
Shelnut. She comes from a
large family - 10 nieces and
nephews and 21 great nieces
and nephews. Donna has 6
children of which she gave
birth to two of them and
the rest are her step children.

Blake Lee and Robin Lee).
She is blessed with 4 grandchildren, Noah Joyce, Gabriel Joyce, Jade Lee and
Taylor Carlton (the loves of her life). She lost the first love of her life, Terry Lee, 3 years ago.
Donna worked in the photo- graphic industry for 36 years, even own- ing her own photo lab in Atlanta, GA. Her hobbies are cooking, watching Ala- bama Football, “Roll Tide”, taking pho- tograph’s and racing of most any kind, with dirt track racing being her favor- ite. She volunteers at Colquitt Regional Hospice, which is very rewarding for her. She has been going to races just
about all her life. The first time she was about 4 years old, sitting on her Uncle’s shoulder so she could see. “I’ve had the honor of being track photographer for the last 10 years at Albany Motor Speedway, Albany, GA (now closed) and Needmore Speedway, Norman Park, GA.”
Her most favorite food is Ital- ian, with Olive Garden being her fa- vorite restaurant. For as long as she can remember she has been going to Pan- ama City Beach, FL for vacation. She loves the sound of the ocean because it is so relaxing. “I can sit on the beach for hours and listen. I have had the privilege of being able to travel in my lifetime and Hawaii would be the next favorite spot to visit.”
Her favorite tv station is MAVTV, followed by Chicago Fire, PD and Med. The romantic side of her loves Hallmark channels. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, because it is a time for family and friends to get together and, most important, remembering the true meaning of Christmas the birth of our Lord and Savior.
Most people don’t know Donna is shy, but she still puts herself out there every day and pushes forward.
Donna’s full-time working career came to an end 10-1-2006. “I wrecked my motorcycle and was broke up bad. I was bed bound for about 12 months not knowing if I would be able to walk again and use my right arm and shoulder, but after multiple surgeries and many, many

Growing up she loved to play with dolls as well as cars. She loves to spend time outdoors and loves finding new adventures.
hours of rehab I proved all doctors and nurses wrong. Even though I am not able to hold a full-time job I decided I would keep busy. I am the track pho- tographer for Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA as well as helping them with their web page and social me- dia. After my husband passed, I knew I wanted to give back to my community and I chose Colquitt Regional Hospice
