The promised land - Moses
Moses was the great saviour of Israel - taking them out of oppression in Egypt, and onwards (eventually) to the promised land. But he never got to enter it himself, as he was not always good at following God’s instructions. He got to see it, just before he died, so that he knew what was in store for the Israelites, but he didn’t experience it.
We prayed for Rutland today - a place where most people live safely, in peace, and with a good standard of living. (It is the sixth least deprived administrative area in England).
We have been blessed to live in a place “flowing with milk and honey” and so I wondered what message Moses may have passed on to those who came after him, and got to live in the land God had promised.
